Booker T. Washington and W.E.B. Du Bois: An Analysis of Influence
This three page undergraduate paper examines the ideological debate that emerged between W.E.B. Du Bois and Booker T. Washington in the nineteenth century. The liberation strategy favored by DuBois is commonly viewed as the more radical and revolutionary of the two positions. In evaluating the various liberation strategies discussed during the Black power debates of the nineteen-sixties, it is evident that the Black Panther party platform was considered to be one of the most revolutionary.
