US Constitution.

The nature of the U S Constitution is another of these perennial debates. A product of the American Revolution some historians regard it as evidence of the revolutionary nature of the new Republic. However, other historians argue that it was a reactionary document designed to mitigate political and social change in the wake of the severance of the connection to Great Britain.
