Critical Response to the Article by Diane Camurat Called The Road to War: Portraying the Indian
In this paper, I will provide a critical response to the content of the article by Diane Camurat called The Road to War: Portraying the Indian. We will specifically look at Chapter Three: Portraying the Indian. In this critical response, I will look at four aspects of the article. Firstly, I will analyze what the authors thesis and look at what she is trying to say. Secondly, I will look at the supporting evidence for her thesis and decide if it is used effectively. Thirdly, I will analyze the authors purpose, and fourthly, I will critique this particular interpretation of how the Indian is portrayed in popular culture.
