This paper will be a discussion of current methodologies in art history. Specifically this paper examines the thoughts and opinions of Goodman and Gombrich. Their views are compared and contrasted in the paper. The issues of current methods used in are also examined and discussed in the paper along with future prospects for methodologies and potential changes in the field of art history.
