This paper briefly examines the pros and cons of the use of the "wage tier" for managers. The wage tier refers to a system of wage payment based on the skill level of the employees. It is commonly used in industrial and factory settings. However, while arguably a fair means of payment, concepts such as those of labor unions can slant its effectiveness.
