This paper looks at the different ways women are portrayed in mass media and asks the question "do these images promote violence against women?" It takes the interesting concept of not only looking at the rather inappropriate way women are portrayed in movies but introduces the subject of women's romance novels and how they portray men. Overall this is a balanced account of just one aspect of mass media communication.
