Paul Waddell's The Primacy of Love and A. Mannette Ansay's Sister.
This essay discusses how, in "The Primacy of Love", Paul Waddell offers the ethics of St. Thomas Aquinas. We see how virtue was at the center of Aquinas' explanation of why ethical people do what they do. The essay then uses Aquinas' perspective to examine why the main character Abigail, in A. Mannette Ansay's novel, "Sister", does what she does. Aquinas' system of ethics helps explain Abigail's choices throughout the novel. 6 pgs. Bibliography lists 2 sources.
