This paper shall discuss “When development and learning decrease memory: Evidence against category-based induction in children” by V.M. Sloutsky and A.V. Fisher. The purpose this essay is twofold. Second, I will add my own analysis and thoughts to the argument made by Sloutsky and Fisher, suggesting that while provocative their research requires further testing for validity.
