Historiographic Debate over Origins of World War I.
This essay will argue, through an analysis of the historiographic debate, that the three historians are not seeing the forest for the trees. As a close reading of their arguments makes clear, the structural forces of European politics, and not personalities, play a predominant role in the origins of the First World War. 5 pgs.
