Creatine and Whey Protein Supplements.

The topic of this paper is the role of creatine and whey protein on bodybuilding and health, particularly of athletes and the increasing number of people who do workouts. Creatine is a protein, which already exists in the body, although in small amount (Annussek 1995). Some are ingested from food, such as meats and fish, and the body from amino acids produces the rest. Creatine is known to convert food into energy, hence, its popularity among athletes and other active people. But with its inherent presence in the body, the question is whether it is necessary to take it in additional amounts as supplements in order to increase muscle size, enhance athletic performance or improve the health of those with muscular or nervous diseases (Annussek).
