Within this paper, I use the Mimosa Grove where Humbert Hubert meets Annabel near the beginning of "Lolita" as a location that symbolizes some of "Lolita's" major themes. The themes that I include within this essay are obsession and societal transgressions. Basically, I introduce my thesis, mention the imagery within the Mimosa Grove, illustrate how the themes I will be discussing are present within "Lolita" and then show how the imagery from the Mimosa Grove symbolizes those themes.
