This paper addresses a passage in Beowulf and its fallacious representation to the audience. The paper opens with a detailed summary of fallacious reasoning tactics, and then follows by quoting the passage in consideration, and describing which of these tactics the author is applying, and how they function to convince the reader of the fallacy that Beowulf's heroes will proceed to a humane, Christian afterlife. 5 pgs.
