This paper shall introduce the nature of the management of bioterrorist attacks in the rural hospital setting as it applies to the work of nurses in those institutions. It focuses on the identification of a solid nursing theory, application of theory in practice to approach mass-casualty attacks, and the management of resources and personnel that nurses will be expected to accomplish in such an event.
