This paper examines the E.Coli outbreak that took place in 1996 when 70 children were found infected with the virus after drinking Odwalla's apple juice. The Court heavily penalized the company as it was revealed during FDA investigation that Odwalla was not following proper quality control measures and its products were not being tested for bacterial contamination.
