Order and Chaos in Homer, Sophocles and Aeschylus.
This paper discusses how Homer, Sophocles and Aeschylus were all writing about life, essentially, in which chaos and order are to be found in almost equal measure. Art, adhering as it does itself to some general rules, seems to be, like science and religion, a means of providing the world with some kind of moral order and of keeping chaos at bay. 7 pgs. 10 f/c. 9b.
