This ten page undergraduate paper examines wmy Max Weber felt he was always butting heads against the ghost of Karl Marx, for they differed on the role and influence of capitalism and bureaucracy, the Protestant ethic and the spirit of capitalism, religion, and many other related issues. Subsequently, Max Weber was consistently confronted by the philosophies of Karl Marx as he sought to explain and defend his own philosophies.
