This is a paper on eating disorders and the western society. Eating disorders are evidently on the increase, with more and more people falling prey to this malady. The reasons that have been attributed to the upward spiraling numbers vary from poor nutritional habits, to following the super-slender fashion fads, and from coping with familial problems to genetics; some have even traced it back to the current turbulent global socio-economic trends.
