This paper is a discussion encompassing family estrangements. More specifically it addresses estrangements within family relationships and family counseling intervention. Entailed in this portion of the discussion are the methods and theories of Murray Bowan, Salvador Minuchin and Betty Carter. recommendations of counseling techniques used by these aforementioned family therapists are included in the discussion.
