This paper presents the Method and Results and Discussion sections of an experiment involving teaching a rat to press a bar to get food pellets, with the method being that the subject was treated to food deprivation conditions. On the first day, no food at all was given to the subject. On the second day, one pellet was provided. The experiment also involved extinction and reacquisition.
