Wrongful Imprisonment: Understanding the Psychology and Criminalization of Prisoners Within the Justice System of the United States of America
This paper will analyze the psychological aspects of wrongful imprisonment, and how this affects inmates that have been forced to live with hardened criminals. The process of "criminalization" within the prison system reveals much on how human behaviors can be conditioned, and how adaptation often enforces a sense of behavioral constitute in a neurotic and pathological state of criminal behavior in prisons. This study will look into this psychological process for those who were once innocent, and now wrongfully imprisoned and abused by the American penal system.
