A Compare and Contrast of Inner City and Suburban Youth.
This study will compare and contrast the challenges that adolescents face in the suburbs and in low-income family housing projects. The books Teenage Wasteland by Donna Gaines and Ain't No Makin' It: Aspirations and Attainment in a Low-Income Neighborhood by Jay Macleod will used to illuminate this situation. By revealing the states of poor urban centers, we can understand better the malady of the poor in inner city life, as well as the better financially orientated suburban life of youth. 3 pgs.
