This paper describes an encounter with a homeless person and the feelings that this encounter engendered within the writer both initially but, more importantly, later as the impact of the encounter sunk in. The essay is told from a first person, narrative, and perspective and exhibits the difference it can make to see a true "face" placed upon the homeless crisis.
