This paper discusses teaching as a career. Teaching is one of the lowest paid careers. Yet, it shapes the future of any country. Children are always the future adults and teaching them not only knowledge, but character, value, and responsibility are only part of the duties of a teacher. This paper discusses how teaching is one of the most important careers because it influences children and their future. The focus of this paper is to discuss teaching as a career with its responsibilities, opportunities, challenges and professionalism.
